Group Therapy

It is a form of psychotherapy in which therapists treat a small group of clients together as a group. It can be used in the treatment of a variety of mental illnesses, such as depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder and social problems. The broader concept of group therapy can be taken to include any helping process that takes place in a group, including support groups (such as those for patients family), skills training groups (such as relaxation skills) and psychoeducational groups.
